Jenny Goodhue's art (a sampling)

Many of the pieces below were untitled. I've tried to arrange them more or less chronologically and where possible some supplemental information is noted. If any would wish to add additional explanations or interpretations and thoughts in connection with these, e-mail me (jwarnett@aol.com) and I'll add them here (with your name or anonymous).
Thank you.

Jenny drew this crayon picture of fish while in elementary school.

The self-portrait was done as a collage with tissue paper. She was likely in middle school at the time.
This painting of red flowers was selected for a Water Tower exhibit when Jenny was in the sixth grade.

Jenny painted the symbolic images of the lighthouse and fork etc. when in middle school.
The tearful blue-eye was also painted in middle school.
Comments and further interpretations are welcome. (see future postings with the pictures)

Painted from a photo of Sam sitting on a plaid blanket with an open book by his side, this is a series of three acrylic paintings.
Sam was wearing a "Your Black Star" t-shirt (one of many local banks Sam and Jenny supported)

Sam gave Jenny this plant for her birthday in 2002 or 2003. Jenny made an acrylic painting of it and presented it to Sam with the inscription "I love you." The Adams' have the original, and this is a print. Brittani Massey says "Sam named it 'the love fern'..making fun of the movie 'How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.'"

Jenny took Sam's plant with her to Colorado (UofC in Boulder) and during her freshman year painted the plant next to a guitar.
When they were driving to Colorado in July 2004 the plant was with them in the car. (Although they called the plant a fern, it was actually a philodendron.)

This was a Mother's Day gift Jenny painted for Margaret in May 2004 and was one of her last paintings. "A Mother's Love Will Never Wilt"
