COMBINED CHRISTMAS CONCERT -
RUTTER MAGNIFICAT AND CAROLS
The choirs and orchestras of Crescent Hill Baptist, Highland Baptist and St. Aloysius Catholic Churches presented a combined concert on Sunday, December 19, at 3:00 PM in the Sanctuary. The program included around 75 singers and 46 orchestra players from the three churches. There was also congregational involvement on festival arrangements of "O Come, All Ye Faithful," "The First Noel" and "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing." The choirs sang MAGNIFICAT (My Soul Magnifies the Lord) by John Rutter (premiered 1990 in Carnegie Hall). The orchestra played a Tim Zimmerman arrangement of "Angels We Have Heard on High."
A free will offering was taken for Habitat for Humanity and a reception followed the concert in Fellowship Hall.
